COVID-19 Information from Camp Allen, Grimes County, and the Texas Governor’s Office
A Message from the 20/20 Vision Texas D.A. Retreat Leadership Team regarding COVID-19
Greetings, fellow D.A. members. While these are indeed uncertain times for the whole world as we physical distance, shelter in place, and some of us are unable to work, it is more important than ever to connect by phone and virtually with our groups and each other, and directly with Higher Power. As our sixth Promise states: “Isolation will give way to fellowship; faith will displace fear.”
Despite not knowing how long we will need to practice the guidelines to keep us safe, retreat leadership is moving forward with the 20/20 Vision Texas D.A. Retreat. We are continuing to plan, respond to new information as it arises and communicate with D.A. retreat participants as changes occur.
Acting as if we are able to hold the retreat at Camp Allen the weekend of December 4-6, 2020, we have paid our deposit and we encourage you, as an act of faith and self-love, to plan to attend our first state-wide D.A. retreat.
Add this retreat to your spending plan now and register early if you can do so.
Because Camp Allen has a no-refund policy for the $2,112.50 deposit we have paid, our refund policy for that money must correspond to that of Camp Allen’s. If we must reschedule due to Camp Allen not being open in December because of this virus, then Camp Allen will hold our deposit for a future retreat date.
However, retreat leadership has voted that should the event be cancelled due to Covid-19, any money we collect for registrations ABOVE that of the Camp Allen deposit and money already spent on expenses can be refunded upon request.
We promise to keep you posted as news of Covid-19, and its effects on this retreat unfold.
